The Growing Food and Profit group will meet on Monday, Feb. 13 at the First Presbyterian Church in Dallas Center, 1204 13th Street. The evening will begin with a potluck meal at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a potluck dish to share and your own table service. Coffee and water will be provided.

Joel Myers and Linda Nelson of Frog Swale Farm near Dallas Center will provide a program on starting garden transplants from seed. Last year they attended an ISU Extension workshop in Fort Dodge. They will be sharing what they learned and put into practice as a result of attending the workshop, and also what they have learned overtime about growing transplants. They don’t claim to be experts, just experienced, and would like to share what they have learned.

Whether you are a food grower, someone interested in growing foods, or an “eater” of locally grown foods, you are welcome to attend.

The GFP group is sponsored by ISU Extension in Dallas County. For more information, please contact Linda Nelson at 515-491-3984 or Lsnelson1@hotmail.com.
