The City of Waukee has announced two Easter-themed events coming up in April.


The Easter Coloring Contest is open to children up to age 10. Coloring sheets and entry forms can be found at the Waukee Public Works Building at 805 University or printed from www.waukee.org/eastercoloringcontest.


Completed entries need to be submitted by April 3. Entries will be displayed at Classic Floral Design, Waukee Hardware and Rent-It Center, Charter Bank and the Heartland Co-Op, where entries will be displayed.


The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for April 15 in Centennial Park. Kids will set out with baskets in search of eggs with candy and prizes.


There will be three age groups for the Easter Egg Hunt for kids up to 10 years old. The event will go on as planned, rain or shine and will begin at 10 a.m.


The Easter Bunny will also be on hand at the free event.
