Here are three things to do around the Dallas County area this weekend.
1. Minburn American Legion Fish Fry - Friday, April 7 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Minburn American Legion. Free-will offerings accepted. Menu includes: All-you can eat fish, french fries and cole slaw. Proceeds go toward The Freedom Rock in Minburn.
3. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m., Downtown Adel. The walk begins at 10th Street and Main Street in Adel. Registration for those not yet registered will begin at 9 a.m., and the walk will begin at 10. Proceeds will provide survivors of sexual assault with utility bill assistance, change of locks, food and hygiene items, gas cards and support group supplies. Participants aged 9 years and under are free, those aged 10-17 years cost $12 and adults cost $25. 2. Live Healthy Iowa 5k - Saturday, April 8, starting at 8 a.m. at the Centennial Park Shelter. All dollars raised from the event will go to support healthy initiatives in the community and throughout Dallas County. The 1K Fun Run for kids aged 12 and under, the cost is $5.
