Boone High School thanks the staff for its support in hosting the Raccoon River Art Show, which took place Wednesday, April 12 at BHS. Boone placed third among the eight schools.


Boone’s Anadia Daniels took first place in sculpture. Justin Elsner took first place in wheel-thrown pottery.


Second-place winners for BHS include Alexis Johnson in non-objective acrylic, as well as Kirsten Renner in chalk drawing and Amanda Brown in watercolor.


Elsner claimed third place in hand-built pottery. Also placing third for BHS were Emma Runstad (charcoal), Sarah Gainer (wheel-thrown pottery) Jessica Lewis (ceramic sculpture) and a collaborative effort from Boone that earned third place in sculpture.


Boone High also had claimed about 22 Honorable Mention awards.
