The Dallas County Hospital has partnered with Integrated Telehealth Partners (ITP) out of West Des Moines in order to improve patient access to behavioral healthcare services.
“The goal of ITP is to provide timely access to mental health services via telepsychiatry,” states Jay Ricke, ITP Director.
ITP has Board Certified Psychiatrists and Psych Certified ARNPs who provide real-time care using telehealth video conferencing technology.
Dallas County Hospital would like to thank Raccoon Valley Bank for the grant used toward purchasing the equipment required for video conferencing. When a patient presents to the ER, the ITP team of providers can see the patient in under two hours and will recommend the appropriate level of care for the patient.
This service will improve outcomes for mental health patients and reduce the time spent by ER staff finding inpatient hospitalization.
“We are excited to offer this new technology that will improve our quality of care to our county,” states Jake Wendler, Dallas County Hospital Chief Information Officer.
