DES MOINES — MidAmerican Energy Company is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2017 scholarship awards.
Locally, Natalie Fowler of Dallas Center will receive a scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The MidAmerican Energy Company Scholarship Program awards $1,500 scholarships to children and stepchildren of full-time MidAmerican Energy employees. Recipients are selected by a panel of independent judges based on academic achievement, ACT and/or SAT scores, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation and a written essay on their personal goals.
“We are pleased to acknowledge these exceptional students, and we wish them well in their academic endeavors,” said Bill Fehrman, MidAmerican Energy president and CEO.
Fowler will be a senior at Iowa State University where she is majoring in chemistry with a minor in biology. Fowler graduated from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School. She is the daughter of Jeanne and Mark Fowler. Jeanne is a financial analyst 2 of supply for MidAmerican Energy.
