1. Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce Rock’n Friday


Friday, July 21 from 7-10 p.m. at the Adel Stage and Pavilion, 10th and Main Street in Adel. FREE event hosted by the Adel Partners Chamber and sponsored by local businesses. Join us to listen to Brother Trucker. This event is BYOB. Bring your own basket of snacks, food and regular or adult beverages. Adult beverages must remain on lawn area. If you forget, a food truck and shaved ice will be available for purchase. Don’t forget your lawn chairs and friends and family.


2. Tori’s Angels Benefit for Logan Erickson


Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Grimes Community Center, 410 Southeast Main Street in Grimes. Nurse practitioners from the Ankeny Walk-in Clinic will provide sports physicals for all ages for a free-will offering. The free-will offering lunch will include walking tacos, hot dogs, chips, bars, and lemonade. The silent auction will feature a variety of unique items and will end at 1:30 p.m. Three-year-old Logan is the son of John and Sarah Erickson of Dallas Center. Logan was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with a Complete AV Canal Defect, a congenital heart defect.


3. Little Wagon Train


Wednesday, July 26 from 9-11 a.m. at Forest Park Museum in Perry. Free event. Bring your little wagon packed with your favorite snack, drink, toys, books and blanket and have your whole family join the fun of a simulated miniature wagon train rolling through the prairie at Forest Park. The day’s adventures will include activities and artifacts from when European settlers were first moving into the area. This program is weather dependent - preregistration is requested.
