At approximately 11:44 a.m. on Monday, the Dallas County Sheriff's Department responded to a bank robbery at First State Bank in Redfield. According to a news release from the Dallas County Sheriff's Department, the amount of cash that was stolen is unknown at this time. 

The release states that a deputy already on patrol in Redfield was responded to the scene of the robbery "within a few minutes" and was alerted by a citizen of a possible suspect vehicle, a direction of travel and a description of the driver. 

At 11:55 a.m., deputies made a traffic stop in the 30000 block of I Avenue and Shawn Michael Antisdel, age 38 of West Des Moines, was detained and later charged with second degree robbery, a Class C felony, and was transported to the Dallas County Jail. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing for Antisdel has been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at the Dallas County Courthouse.

There are currently no other suspects in the case and the general public was never in any danger, according to the news release. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the citizens of Redfield for their help and the Adel Police Department for their response.
