Former Dallas Center pastor Randy Johnson accepted a plea deal on Friday, Jan. 12 and will plead guilty to charges of sexual abuse, according to court documents. 

Johnson, formerly the pastor at Dallas Center Church of the Brethren, was arrested on Jan. 25, 2017 and charged with: 

- Five counts of third degree sexual abuse

- Two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse

- Three counts of indecent contact with a child, and

- Two counts of indecent exposure

The crimes date back to 2013, according to court documents. 

The petition to plead guilty was filed after a pretrial conference Friday morning that began at 10:30 a.m. He was scheduled to go to a jury trial on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 9:30 a.m. 

Sentencing has been scheduled for March 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in court room 300 at the Dallas County Courthouse in Adel.
