Dallas County Supervisor, Kim Chapman is seeking another term on the board, according to a press release issued on Thursday, March 22. He has officially filed his nomination papers to seek another term.
Chapman represents District 3, which includes Adel, DeSoto, Van Meter and a portion of West Des Moines.
“It is an incredible honor to represent the residents of Dallas County on the Board of Supervisors,” Chapman said in a news release. “I am running for another term because I believe there is more work to be done. I have fought to reduce property taxes, to eliminate wasteful spending, and to make Dallas County the premier location to live, work, and raise a family.”
Chapman, an Air Force Veteran, currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Fifth Judicial District Department of Corrections, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Aging Resources of Central Iowa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for HIRTA and is a member of the American Legion Adel Post 464.
Chapman is currently the President and CEO of Midwest Ambulance, a private ambulance service in Des Moines that he started and has run since 1984 according to the business’s website.
Chapman and his wife, Kathy live in rural Adel, have four children and 24 grandchildren.
