Directors and administrators at the Waukee Community School District will receive a 2 percent salary increase for the 2018-19 school year. The District’s Chief Executive Officer, Eric Rose, was among those to receive a 2 percent raise and will make a total salary of $142,800 during the next school year.
Rose has come under public scrutiny after 2017 media reports and an internal investigation in the District revealed that he repeatedly violated school policies.
According to the agenda from the last Waukee School Board meeting, Lora Appenzeller-Miller, the District’s Chief Financial Officer, has submitted her resignation, which will become effective on June 30, 2018.
The minutes from the Waukee Finance Committee meeting on April 18 reveal that a salary package for teachers in the Waukee Education Association have not yet been agreed to, but they are looking at a raise in the 2.5 percent range with wages accounting for 2.2 percent of the total package.
