In the July 29th edition of this newspaper, an article entitled "Dodgeville soloon catered to roudy cousins" was yet one more glaring example of poor proofreading on the part of The Hawk Eye. Author Bob Hansen spelled saloon and rowdy correctly in his article, so why were they incorrect in the title? Does The Hawk Eye not use spellcheck?

This paper's increasing number of grammatical errors, misspellings, and typos is an embarrassment. I recommend you stop spending money on "Pages from Our Past" and use that money to hire a proofreader!
