Central College sophomore Kirstie Overton, of West Des Moines, competed with the dance team at the 2013-14 ISDTA State College Dance Team Championships at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines Dec. 5-6. The team competed in the NCAA Division III college division and took first place in three categories. The Central College dance team won first place in pom, jazz and hip-hop. The team will compete April 9-13 in the NDA Nationals competition in Daytona Beach.
