The Waukee Area Arts Council presents the Top Hat Carolers’ Family Holiday Show on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at ArtsCentral, 405 Maple Street, Waukee. This performance is a part of the Home Grown Talent Series and is sponsored by Edgewater, a Wesleylife, Active Life Community. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for students and are available at the Waukee Hardware, online at WaukeeArts.org and at the door.

This Family Holiday Variety Show will feature the Top Hat Carolers, plus Michael Hope and Lorenzo Sandoval. "Come enjoy a warm evening of Holiday cheer with your neighbors!" said Tom Lloyd, president of the Arts Council board. "The Top Hat Carolers will sing all your favorites; Waukee’s own Michael Hope will entertain with upbeat versions of holiday songs; and Lorenzo Sandoval, Artistic Director of the Iowa Shakespeare Experience, will charm you with his smooth voice and the best holiday stories!"

The Top Hat Carolers have been singing since 1993. They have performed at Terrace Hill, the Des Moines Art Center, Salisbury House, and the Winter Farmers Market in Des Moines. During the spring and the fall, this trio sings at Renaissance and Celtic fairs as Orckes & Trolles. The founder of the group, Robert Uy, works at DMACC as a mathematics teacher. Patricia Uy-Westlund and Warren Westlund own their own pet store, Premiere Pets, in Clive. They all have extensive theatre and music experience throughout central Iowa.
