4-H Clothing Day event results

As 4-H’ers of all ages walked confidently, chin up down the runway of the Grace West Church in West Des Moines, spectators were impressed by their designer-like garb. On Saturday, June 14 a handful of Iowa State University Extension of Dallas County 4-H’ers participated in the annual Clothing Day event. With three categories to choose from, outfits were either selected with no dollar limit, a $15 or less budget or were handmade garments. Ribbons were awarded to following by the judges: Clover Kids Clothing Selection and $15 Challenge, Brock Jean (green); Intermediate 4-H Fashion Revue, Jessica Jean (blue), Cady Ruble (purple) and Allyson Vespa (blue); Intermediate 4-H Clothing Selection, Jessica Jean (purple); Intermediate 4-H $15 Challenge, Jessica Jean (purple); Senior 4-H Clothing Selection, Brynn Hansen (purple); and, Senior 4-H $15 Challenge, Brynn Hansen (State Fair Rosette).

Hansen will be representing Dallas County with her $15 outfit at the State Awardrobe Event in August. Dallas County Extension is proud of the work done by these youth and their commitment at always putting their best foot forward—while looking stylish.
