On Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. the Iowa Arboretum will feature Don Wirth, anthropologist, who will speak about the Mighty Oak trees of Iowa. He will answer the questions: How did the oaks get to Iowa and how do they prosper? What are the different kinds? How are they useful? What is their place in our cultural history and home landscapes? Dress for a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences.
