The Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education is accepting applications for $2,000 scholarships to be awarded to students interested in careers in the automobile industry. Applications can be downloaded from IADA.com and are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 3,.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be committed to the pursuit of a career in an automobile dealership. Potential career paths include working as a technician, salesperson, accountant, marketing specialist, or in business administration.
"Dealerships provide some of the best-paying jobs in Iowa," said Mary Cason, executive vice president of the Foundation. "Our goal is to help ease the financial burden of higher education for the next generation of dealership employees, so that they can get the education necessary to have successful careers in the auto industry."
