Six Iowa State University Army ROTC student cadets have been awarded national scholarships. A total of 41 scholarships were given nationwide through the Cadet Command Civilian Sponsored Scholarship Program.

Among the students is Daniel Hekter, who won the Combined United Services Automobile Association Scholarship. He majors in management and is a graduate of Dallas Center- Grimes High School.

The scholarships are available to seniors from 273 Army ROTC programs in the country. They are awarded on academic and ROTC performance, campus activities, a written essay and successful completion of the Leader Development Assessment Course.
