Local Dallas County parks will move to winter hours next month. Forest Park Museum: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. from Nov. 1-April 30;
Sportsman Park in Dawson: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. from Nov. 1- April 30. Camping will be allowed year-round as conditionas allow. Restrooms will remain closed with a portable available. Shower house will be closed for the season. Sportsman’s Lodge and season cabins will be available year-round; however, Raccoon Lodge will not be open for reservation;
Voas Nature Area in Minburn: Opens daily a half hour before sunrise until 10 p.m. daily. The entry gate will remain open with weather conditions permitting. Restrooms will remain closed November until May.
Hanging Rock in Redfield: Open 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily with weather permitting. Public restrooms will be closed. Shelter will be available on a first-come basis.
Trindle Park in Van Meter: Open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily from November until April. Restrooms will be closed.helter will be available on a first-come basis.
Kuehn Conservation Area in Earlham: Open a half hour before sunrise until 10 p.m. daily.
*Please note that due to roadway safety, if snow has not been removed or if the surface is slick the gates will remain closed. Normal summer hours and amenities will resume on May 1.
