The Board of Supervisors’ decision to house a county administration could be reached by next Tuesday’s meeting.

Talks of a new county administration building has been on the board’s agenda for over a year and have narrowed site selection to either the old Adel- De Soto-Minburn middle school or land available east of Adel.

Chair Mark Hanson said he is open to suggestions on site location but emphasized a decision needs to be made soon.

"Now we are getting to the point where options need to be evaluated and decisions need to be made," he said. "Ultimately we are going to have discussions on merits of locations, costs, efficiency, design and building."

In order for the board to hold an August bond referendum, the board would have to make a decision either next Tuesday or the following Tuesday.

After some discussion, the board agreed to meet with the City of Adel Monday, April 29 at 7 p.m. at the Adel-De Soto-Minburn high school.
