The public is invited to participate in the official ground breaking for a new addition to the Waukee Public Library on Tuesday, April 23 at 2 p.m. The addition will house a meeting room and historical museum space. Waukee native Hiram Ori left the library a bequest specifically to build a meeting room which will be named after his parents, Ernest and Casimira Ori. Ori grew up in Waukee and his father worked in Shuler Mine. The addition should be complete and available for use by this fall. Waukee Public Library is located at 950 Warrior Lane in Waukee; website is www.waukee.lib.ia.us.
