During a traffic stop at the intersection of SE Boone Drive and SE Olson Drive, a 15-year-old male juvenile and a 14-year-old male juvenile, both of West Des Moines, were charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

April 13

Sophie Hayek, 24, of 1442 57th Place, Des Moines was arrested at the intersection of Ute Avenue and 312th Place and charged with OWI 1st offense.

Marilyn Piper of 706 N. David Street, Bloomfield reported a burglary to a motor vehicle in the 800 block of SE Brentwood Drive. Items stolen valued at $530.

Sandy Duncan of 55 SE Windfield Parkway, Waukee reported criminal mischief to a vehicle with the passenger side window being broken off. Damage estimated at $195.

April 11

A vehicle driven by Lori Tabbert of 23708 330th Street, Adel was traveling northbound in the 20 block of N. Warrior Lane and was waiting to make a left turn when a vehicle driven by Jennifer Sill of 903 NW 32nd Street, Ankeny rear ended Tabbert’s vehicle. Vehicle damage estimated at $10,000. Sill was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

April 10

Two 13-year-old male juveniles were arrested in the 300 block of SE University Avenue and charged with theft 5th for shoplifting at Kum & Go at 350 SE University Avenue. Items valued at $7.98.

Jonathan Bevers, 31, of 275 NE Sunrise Drive, Waukee was arrested in the 10 block of N. Warrior Lane and charged with driving while revoked. Bevers had a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear in court. Bevers was cited for registration violation.

City of Waukee at 230 W. Hickman Road, Waukee reported a burglary to a water pump shed in the 1200 block of 6th Street. Damage estimated at $30. Value of stolen items estimated at $300.

April 8

Aaron Sperry of 829 9th Street, Des Moines reported criminal mischief to a mailbox in the 100 block of N. Warrior Lane. Damage estimated at $100.
