Congratulations to the students who were invited to enter art in the CIML Art Show on April 10 in Fort Dodge. Waukee High School students brought home 13 best-in-show awards.
It is an honor just to have an entry in this contest. Each school is only allowed to take 25 pieces to the competition and only one or two awards are given for each category. All work entered is original and includes submissions from Waukee, West Des Moines, Ames, Fort Dodge, Marshalltown and Mason City.
A variety of art classes are offered to WHS students. Students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to take: Art I, Art II, Drawing, Painting, Jewelry, Sculpture, Ceramics, Textiles, Graphic Design, Photography and Advanced Workshop.
