Picket Fence Creamery near Woodward, will be holding a springtime country outing for individuals to view farm animals, sample Iowa foods and wines, and enjoy a grilled Iowa Angus burger at a Palm Sunday Sample Sunday, April 13 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Iowa foods sampling will include fresh frozen Iowa sweet corn from Ankeny, Iowa and fresh creamery butter. Delicious other local foods including Des Moines Bacon Company hams, and fresh Iowa spinach will be available for your Easter table. In addition, sample very berry ice cream, cheesecakes, dips, elk sticks, chocolate milk, and dozens more foods.
Kids can decorate an Easter cookie, get a balloon animal, and see the bottle calves and goats.
The outer building will offer grilled Angus burgers, brats, kids’ hot dog meal, root beer floats, hot fudge sundaes, and an array of local guest vendors.
