On Thursday, August 2, 2018, Thomas Allen Fowler, son of Mark and Diane Fowler, passed away quietly at the age of 25. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 6, at New Hope Church near Adel. Burial will follow at Brethren Cemetery near Dallas Center.

The first thing people noticed about Tom was his smile. Even with the many physical hardships Tom endured, he was a positive and happy guy. His smile was infectious and charmed most everyone he met. Tom graduated from Adel DeSoto Minburn High School in 2014 and was voted the classmate with the best smile.

Tom loved his supportive family. Tom especially liked talking to grandmas on the phone, Uncle Rodney singing his special song, potty humor, and got the biggest laugh when damsels were in distress. Other favorites were watching SpongeBob, pudding, Cheetos, rock-n-roll music and kitties. Tom was a multi-state champion Special Olympics bowler.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Fowler and grandpa, Bill Logan.

He is survived by his dad, Mark and wife Jeanne of Dallas Center; sisters, Natalie (Dylan Neal) Fowler of Waterford, Michigan; Sarah (Trey) Cummings of St Louis, Missouri and Rachel Gilmore of St Louis, Missouri; his grandparents, Ron and Sandra Fowler of Chelsea, Iowa, Janice Logan of Grinnell, Iowa; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, August 5, at Iles-Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center. Memorial contributions can be made to Special Olympics Iowa.
