Ina Jean (Geneser) Kordick, 87, of Perry died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Perry Lutheran Home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation was Friday, May 16, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Burial will be in the Beaver Catholic Cemetery near Woodward. Ina Jean (Geneser) Kordick was born on October 28, 1926 in Granger, Iowa to John (Jack) Geneser and Ina (Waters) Geneser. She graduated from Assumption High School in Granger, Iowa. She married Joseph Paul Kordick on November 27, 1948 at Assumption Catholic Church. Ina Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker and was also a 4-H Leader for many years. She was a long-time member of Assumption Catholic Church in Granger and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry since 1990. She enjoyed many laughs with her family and friends and was known for playing a prank or two.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joe in 2011 and a sister, Ruth Ann Geneser.

She is survived by her children: Connie Kordick, Marion, Iowa, Kathy (John) Westfall, West Des Moines, Iowa, Becky (Mark) Bray, Bettendorf, Iowa, Ed (Teresa) Kordick, West Des Moines, Iowa, Ken Kordick, Schaumburg, Ill.; grandchildren: Jill and Paul Westfall, Stephanie and Julie Bray, Monica, Maria and Anthony Kordick, and brothers, Robert and Frank Geneser, Granger, Iowa.
