To the editor:
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the North Polk Community for the “Two Families, One Community” event that was held Sept. 23 at the North Polk High School. We were overwhelmed by the support and encouragement from the community. We continue to be touched by the outpouring of love and support from each and every person who learns of Charlie or Ross and their battle against cancer.
We want to thank Diane Hammond and the organizing committee, countless volunteers, the Polk City United Methodist Church, the North Polk School Administrators, teachers, and staff, the Polk City Boy Scout Troop 89, Barilla, Cheesecake Factory, Cupp Insurance, Diana’s Photo Expressions, It Takes the Cake, Reising Sun Café, Rock Valley Physical Therapy in Polk City, Tri-County Times and the many friends, families and others from the community who attended the spaghetti dinner and the glow walk. We have been blessed beyond measure!
