Having recently flown to Pittsburgh and back and having the benefit of a window seat both ways I was again reminded of how beautiful the earth looks from the cruising altitude of the big jets. Part of the trip was clear so I could see the landscape with the variety of rich colors—forest green, spring green, and tan in patchwork patterns. Part of the trip both ways was cloudy, and even the clouds were gorgeous in their many shapes and textured appearances. Many of them reminded me of masses of cotton. I haven’t gone by air that many times in my life, so it hasn’t gotten old for me and I enjoy it very much every time. The best thing about it for me is the opportunity to see our beautiful planet from afar, and to remember its beauty when we get our feet back on the ground.
