The Dallas Center-Grimes girls basketball team played in Norwalk on Dec. 1. This was the Fillies third game, but their first conference game of the season.
The Fillies brought home the win, 56-34.
Jenna Borchers was the leading scorer of the game. The junior had three field goals, three three-point shots and two free throws. Borchers also had the most steals for the Fillies with a total of eight.
Mallory Vroegh followed close behind with a total of 14 points. She had four field goals and two three pointers for the team.
Gianna Bellizzi was the leading scorer for the Warriors. She had a total of 13 points from two field goals three three pointers.
Brooke Kramer had the most assists for the Fillies. By the end of the game she had a total of eight assists. She was also one of the leaders in rebounds for the team. Kramer had four of the team's 27 rebounds. Tatum Jorgensen had four rebounds as well.
The Warriors had a total of 34 rebounds during the game. Miranda Hughes had 10 total rebounds on her own, two offensive rebounds and eight defensive rebounds.
Rachel Lowary led in blocks for the Fillies. She had five of the Fillies seven blocks against the Warriors.
The Fillies led in every quarter and finally ended the game 56-34. The Fillies next game will be on Dec. 6 against Perry at 6:00 p.m.
