Dallas Center-Grimes hosted a dual against Grinnell on Dec. 15. The Mustangs beat the Tigers in an extremely close match that ended 37-30.

Zane Mulder wrestled first for the Mustangs. At 152 pounds he won by fall over Jerin Wyatt in 5:29. Mulder's pin allowed the Mustangs the team's first six points.

Bain Broderick got the second six points for the Mustangs when the Tigers had to forfeit due to not having a wrestler in the 160 weight class.

At 170 was Ben Fisher. Fisher wrestled Trenton Miller and won by a 14-1 major decision over the Tiger. This added another four points to the Mustangs team total.

Mustang Rowan Collins pinned Spencer Mauss in a quick 1:46. Collins weighed in at 182 for the dual.

The first loss of the meet was in the 195 match. Karter Jorgensen lost by fall to Isaiah McAlexander in 4:52. The Tigers now had six points.

Jorgensen's loss was followed by four more losses for the Mustangs. The next loss was in the 220 weight class by a fall. Tiger Brett Clayton, unfortunately, managed to pin Brady Simmons in just 1:38.

In a minute and a half, Mustang Jacob Comer was pinned by Wilbur White. The two were wrestling in the 285 weight class.

The match between Peyton Braunschweig and Dalton Gosselink was more intense. The two 106 pound wrestlers wrestled until the time ran out. The boys had to go into a tie breaker and Gosselink ended up winning 5-4.

The last win of the Tigers winning streak was in the 113 pound weight class. In a 3-2 decision Brock Beck beat Ayden Kovaleski. The Tigers were now only six points away from their final team score.

Max Tracy was the Mustang to end the losing streak. He wrestled Alex Farmer and won by a 7-5 decision adding another three points to the Mustangs' team score.

For another three points, Drew Kearney beat out Ethan Kirby in a 10-5 decision. The two wrestled in the 126 weight class.

The Tigers gained their final six points in the 132 pound weight class. Jacob Majava lost by a fall to Kaiden Gosselink in 4:21.

The Mustangs came back with another six points when Bryce Murano beat his opponent. At 138, Murano wrestled against Wyatt Dillon, whom he pinned in 3:40.

At 145 was Luke Fistler. Fistler gained the last three points for the Mustangs when he won by a 8-1 decision over Gabe Osborne.

The Mustangs won the dual against the Tigers 37-30. The Mustangs wrestled at the Al Garrison duals on Dec. 17.
