The Woodward-Granger Hawks (5-7, 3-5) girls’ basketball team extended their winning streak to two games after a 43-29 road win versus the host AC/GC Chargers (3-7, 2-5).
A one-point lead at the half of Friday night’s contest increased to a 14 points when the Hawks’ offense made its appearance in the final 16 minutes to outscore their opponents 28-15.
In the first the Hawks opened the contest on a close 12-10 run. Both team struggled from the floor in the second when they combined for just seven points - Hawks three and Chargers four.
After the half, the Hawks defense held the Bombers to just seven points and the offense finished the third quarter with 17 points. The Hawks closed out the contest on an 11-8 run.
