The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers traveled to Boone to take on the Toreadors for their last game before regionals on Friday, Feb. 10. The Tigers ended up losing to the Toreadors 47-35.
The Tigers had two leading scorers against the Toreadors. Freshman Abbie Hlas and senior Sydney Bertman each had ten points to finish the game.
Hlas' points were made up of her three field goals, one three pointer and one free throw. Bertman had scored five field five goals for her ten points.
With 17 points was Claire Sandvig. Sandvig was the leading scorer for the Toreadors when she made seven field goals and three free throws.
The second leading scorer for the Toreadors was Caitlynne Shadle. She finished the game with four field goals and six of her six free throws for a total of 14 points.
Sydney Bertman also led the Tigers in rebounds. She had a total of nine, three that were offensive and six that were defensive. Delaney Bertman followed her with a total of five rebounds on the night. Delaney's rebounds came from her two offensive and three defensive rebounds for the Tigers.
The leader in rebounds for the Toreadors was also Sandvig. By the end of the game, Sandvig had 13 rebounds, five offensive and eight defensive. Senior Laura Anderson followed with 10 rebounds of her own. Nine of Anderson's rebounds were offensive and only one was a defensive rebound.
The Tigers only had seven assists throughout the game. Three of the Tigers' seven assists were from Sydney Bertman allowing her to be the team's leader.
The leader in assists for the Toreadors was Emma Rouse. Rouse had four of the team's 13 assists.
The Tigers also had seven steals to which Hlas had three, allowing her to lead the team. The Toreadors finished with ten steals, three of which were Shadle's.
Sydney Bertman had the only block for the Tigers against the Toreadors. Sandvig had three blocks for the Toreadors, the team finished with five.
The Tigers ended the season with a 8-13 after losing their final regular season game 47-35. Their next game will be on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the A-D-M high school against Harlan for the first round of regional play.
