The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling team wrestled at the IHSAA 2A District 3 district tournament in in Harlan on Feb. 11.

The Tigers had two wrestlers go to the district tournament, both of whom will be advancing to the State Wrestling Meet.

Andrew Flora was one of the Tigers to place first in his weight class. He wrestled at 106 pounds at the district tournament and earned 17 team points. Flora won his semifinal match over Brodie Starlin from Creston/Orient-Macksburg by a 11-0 major decision. In his first place match, Flora wrestled Van Meter's Colby Wiederholt and won by a 6-0 decision.

At 138 pounds for the Tigers is Nolan Harsh. Harsh won his semifinal match to Drew Venteicher (Bedford/Lenox) with a 2-0 decision. For first place, and to move on to the state meet, Harsh took on Trevor Marlin from Creston/Orient-Macksburg. Harsh beat Marlin by fall in 3:49.

Both Tigers will be moving on to wrestle in the 2A section of the State Tournament that begins on Thursday, Feb. 16 at Wells Fargo Arena.
