DMACC opened up a 4-0 lead with two runs in each of the first two innings and padded its lead with a run in the top of the fifth. The Bears closed it out with three runs in the top of the fifth and the game was called because of the mercy rule after ACCC batted in the bottom of the inning.

Jacobsen and freshmen Abby Gehringer of Indianola and Cheyann Adamson of Riverside drove in one run apiece.

The Bears overcame a 1-0 deficit with a pair of runs in the top of the third and then broke a 2-2 tie with single runs in the top of the fifth and the top of the sixth for a 4-2 lead. ACCC scored in the bottom of the sixth to make it a one-run game and neither team scored in the seventh, giving DMACC the win.

Sophomore Ashley Sicard of Ackley pitched the first five and a third innings and improved to 3-0 with the win. She allowed three runs on eight hits and struck out four. Freshman Gabby Schnathorst of Carlisle pitched an inning and two-thirds of hitless ball and recorded her second save of the season. She struck out three batters.
