On Mar. 7, the Waukee Warriors traveled to Cedar Falls to run in the Dickinson Relays at the University of Northern Iowa.


Nolan Roethler ran a 22.87 in the 200 meter dash, his time allowed him to finish in first place. DJ Moffit was the second Warrior to finish the race. He finished the race in 19th place with a time of 24.29. The third Warrior was Sam Devries, who had a time of 24.64 and placed 39th.


Placing first in the 400 meter dash was Josh Andrews, he finished the race in 50.64 seconds. The two other Warriors in the 400 meter race were Ryan Modlin and Chanler Braman. Modlin placed 12th with a time of 52.50 and Braman finished in 31st in 54.28 seconds.


The Warriors had three runners in the 800 meter race as well. Tyler Groathouse place fourth in the race with a time of 2:01.27. Just three seconds behind Groathouse was Josh Rinderknecht with a time of 2:04.36 and placed eighth. Warrior Carson Kurth followed in ninth place and a time of 2:05.73.


Jackson Lewis placed second in the 1600 meter run with his time of 4:28.92. Nathan Andrews placed 11th with a time of 4:44.06.


The 3200 meter run was up next. Tyler Loecke and Travis Loecke were the two Warriors in this race. Tyler finished in 16th with a time of 10:28.19 and Travis placed 17th with a time of 10:28.60.


Jacob Morrison placed 12th in the high jump with his high of 5’10”. With a jump of 5’8” Wilson Lenerz placed 23rd in the high jump event.


No Warriors competed in the long jump finals, so the shot put was up next. Jacob Wiggins had a 51’5” throw in the event that put him in eighth place.


The Warriors placed third in their 4x200 relay with a final time of 1:33.79. The 4x400 team place first with a time of 3:26.77. The final relay race was the 4x800, the Warriors ran a 8:43.61 and placed seventh in the event.


The Warriors next meet is on Friday, Mar. 10 at Cornell College.
