Wartburg College hosted their second indoor meet on Tuesday, Mar. 7, which the Waukee Warriors boys track team competed.


Blake Espland was one of the Warriors to run the 200 meter dash. He finished the race in 24.65 second to place ninth. The second Warrior in the race was Ryan Stall who placed 12th with his time of 25.38 seconds.


Bailey Watt place second in the 400 meter dash with his time of 53.33. Aaron McCrary also ran the race and place sixth with a time of 55.18.


Two Warriors ran the 800 meter run finals. Coleman Prohaska ran a 2:19.65 for 20th and Connor O’Leary placed 23rd with a 2:21.33.


The 1600 meter race was run by Gus Muenzenmay and Aaron Reitsma. Muenzenmay had a time of 4:57.66 and placed fourth while Reitsma placed eighth with a time of 5:02.60.


Moe Smith placed sixth in the 3200 meter run with a final time of 10:34.97. The second Warriors that ran the race was Ian Buske, who placed ninth with a time of 10:44.02.


The Warriors placed second and third in the high jump. Ryan Keck was the one to place second with his high of 6’1”. Owen Minshall placed third after a jump of 5’11”.


Keck also competed in the long jump event where he had a 17’10.5” to placed 16th, Aedan Ward had a jump of 17’4” to place 19th in the event.


Charlie Goulding threw a 41’8” in the shot put to place 13th. The second Warrior on the shot put event was Eric Richards. Richard placed 15th with his throw of 39’06”.


The relay events were up next for the meet. The Warriors’ 4x200 relay team placed eighth with their time of 1:41.60. The 4x800 team had a time of 3:55.45 and placed ninth. In the 4x800 relay, the Warriors finished in fourth with a final time of 9:09.26.


The Warriors next meet is on Friday, Mar. 10 at Cornell College.
