The Little Hawkeye Conference announced their 2017 All-Conference Girls Basketball Teams earlier in March. The Dallas Center-Grimes Fillies had five awarded on the teams.
Junior Jenna Borchers was recognized as a member of the First All-Conference Team. Seniors Rachel Lowry and Brooke Kramer were recognized as Second Team All-Conference selections. Mallory Vroegh and Hannah Wuebker were chosen as All-Conference Honorable Mentions.
The five Fillies were the top scorers of the team this season. Borchers led with 341 points for a game average of 14.8 points. Lowary followed with 211 points and 9.6 points per game. Kramer had 199 points this season, Vroegh had 165 and Wuebker had 111 points.
Lowary was the second leader of rebounds for the Fillies with a total of 100 this season. Lowary followed teammated Tatum Jorgensen who had 112 this year. Wuebker averaged 3.6 points per game allowing her to be the third leading Filly of rebounds.
Kramer, Lowary and Borchers were the top three Fillies in assists this season. Kramer finished with 76, Lowary had 48 and Borchers had 44. Wuebker and Vroegh were right behind with 21 (Wuebker) and 15 (Vroegh) assists.
Borchers, Lowary and Kramer also led the team in steals. Borchers finished the season with a whopping 80 steals. The second leader of steals was Lowary with 55 and Kramer was next 45.
Lowary was the leader of blocks this season with a total of 38. The second leader was Joergensen with a total of 14.
The five All-Conference selections helped finish the Fillies season with a 13-10 record.
