PELLA, IOWA—Taylor Smith (Adel-DeSoto-Minburn) and Reese Iverson (Dallas Center-Grimes) are a members of the Central College men’s track and field team.


The Dutch return 24 letter winners from last year’s team that swept the Iowa Conference indoor and outdoor titles. It was the second straight league outdoor crown for Central, which has captured 11 indoor and outdoor team titles since 2009 and 22 team championships overall. Last year’s squad then placed sixth at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.


Central will kick off its outdoor season March 31-April 1 at the Central Invitational in Pella. The Iowa Conference Outdoor Championships are slated for May 11-13 in Storm Lake.


Smith, a sophomore, runs sprints for the Dutch.


Iverson, a junior, has two varsiy letters. He went sixth in the 2015 indoor heptathlon, sixth in the 2015 outdoor decathlon, 7th in high jump and eighth in 60 meter hurdles in the 2016 indoor meet, fourth in high jump in the 2016 outdoor meet and sixth in high jump in the 2017 indoor meet.
