It wasn’t their best finish of the season so far for the Woodward-Granger Hawks girls’ golf team who finished fourth at the Dallas Center-Grimes Invite.

On April 13, the Hawks clubbed away at the chances for a first place finish. However their combined score of 238 kept them 28 points from first.

Host DC-G took the top spot with a 210, followed by Adel-Desoto-Minburn with a 225 and in third was the DC-G junior varsity team with a 227.

Cierra Dehoet did her best to keep her Hawks team in competition with a 9-hole round of 54. She tallied a birdie and a par and then finished the rest of the way with multiple bogeys and double bogeys.

Teammate Paige Mescher finished just three stroked behind with a 57. Sister Aubrey contributed a 66 and Ashland James had a round of 61.

Today, the team will look to steer clear from any hazards at the Woodward Golf Club when they host Des Moines Christian and Ogden.
