After their third loss of the season on Thursday to Winterset, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers traveled to Indianola to take on the Indians on Friday May 5. The Tigers won the game 5-0 and now have a 10-3 record.

The Tigers scoring streak began just four minutes into the game. Heriberto Ponce shot a direct corner kick to Matthew Dobrzynski who put the ball into the net with a header allowing for the first goal.

The Tigers kept dominating control of the ball and just five minutes after the first goal the Tigers put a second on the board. Dakota Kahler sent a 20 yard pass down the field to Davis Barton who then outran the defending Indians and shot the ball past Indians’ keeper Carter Bussanmas.

Ponce made another quick and successful pass just one minute before the half ended. The pass went right to Matthew Oberreuter who sent the ball high into the goal and brought the score to 3-0.

The Tigers continue to dominate possession and did not allow the Indians a chance at the goal.

Halfway through the second half, another goal was made when Lucas O’Connor and Brad Freiermuth passed the ball down the field. Freiermuth then sent the ball to Justin Annear who sent the ball up to the top right of the net.

Tigers’ keeper, TJ Klocke only had two saves to shut out the game.

“It was a very good display after the disappointment on Thursday,” said coach Bill Shields.

The Tigers will play Perry next at home on Tuesday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m.
