The Dallas Center-Grimes Fillies traveled to Edmunson Park in Oskaloosa on May 8 for a triangular meet against Grinnell and Oskaloosa. The Fillies placed second with their team score of 191 strokes, which is also the third lowest known nine holes that have been shot in school history. The Fillies are now 26-12 on the season.
The par for the nine-hole course was 37 strokes, Bella Amador-Lacson from Grinnell was the medalist of the meet when she shot a 38.
Lydia Steier was the leader for the Fillies. Steier shot a 43 and finished the meet in fourth place and tied with Grinnell’s Maddie Schrack.
Sarah Rauschenberg place fifth at the meet. The Filly finished with a score of 47 strokes.
Aubree Klug was up next for the Fillies. Klug had 50 strokes on the nine holes, placed seventh and tied with Aundrea Whitlatch-Hiemstra from Oskaloosa.
Just one stroke over Klug was Maddie Calease. Calease placed ninth with her 51 strokes.
Annagrace Dalbey and Reagan Stokely were the final two Fillies on the course. Dalbey shot a 54 and Stokely had a 63.
The Fillies next meet is on Monday, May 15 in Perry at the Perry Golf and County Club at 4:00 p.m.
