After a substate semifinal loss on May 24, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys’ soccer season ended with a 2-1 loss to the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays.
As many of their games began throughout the season, the Tigers took control of the ball right away and pressured the Bluejays’ defense.
The Tigers even had the first goal of the game. Just 14 minutes in, Justin Annear broke free down the right side of the field and sent the ball into in the six yard box to Lucas O’Connor. O’Connor then drove the ball into the net for the Tigers’ goal. Unfortunately, this would be the Tigers’ only goal.
The rest of the first half and the beginning 25 minutes of the second, was mostly the Tigers’ playing defense. Neither team scored in this time.
When their was just 15 minutes left in the game, the Bluejays tied the game with a breakaway play. Eleven minutes later came the Bluejays’ second goal with a breakaway play again.
The Tigers weren’t able to tie up the game before the buzzer went off and their season ended in the substate semifinals with a season record of 13-6.
