The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys’ golf team competed in the State Golf Meet this past weekend (May 26-27) at the Spring Valley Golf Course in Livermore. The Tigers placed eighth in Class 3A with their team score of 672 strokes.


Junior Micah Moyer was the leader for the Tigers. He placed ninth overall. Moyer shot a 74 in the first round a 79 in the second, he finished with a total of 153 strokes at the State Meet.


In 28th was Jacob Schumacher. Schumacher had 78 strokes in the first round and finished with 87 strokes in the second round for his total of 165 strokes. Schumacher tied with Riley Kempker from Mount Pleasant and Kaleb Cochran from Centerville.


Tigers Will Geadelman and Matthew West tied for 53rd at the State Meet along with Mount Pleasant’s Jake Moffett. Geadelman had 93 strokes in the first round and 90 in the second for his 183 strokes. West had 88 strokes in the first round and 95 strokes in the second round for his final 183 strokes.


Junior Grant Curran and sophomore Adam O’Connor also tied at the meet. Both Tigers finished with 188 strokes for 58th place. In the first round Curran had 99 strokes and in the second round he had 89 strokes. O’Connor finished the first round with 104 strokes and had 84 strokes in the second round.
