Paige Lowary, a Dallas Center-Grimes alumna, pitches for the Oklahoma University softball team. The Sooners became back-to-back NCAA National Champions on June 6.
Lowary finished the Championship game by knocking out the last six batters in order, three of which were strikeouts.
This is Lowary's first year at OU as she transferred from Missouri last fall where she played two seasons.
Lowary finished this season with a 16-3 record from her 43 appearances and 16 games started, she completed four games and threw one shutout.
During the 2016-2017 season she had an ERA of 1.53 in 146.2 innings. Lowary finished the season with 122 strikeouts. She allowed 84 hits and 40 runs throughout the season.
On offense, Lowary had one run in the 2016-2017 season.
