The Tigers of Adel-DeSoto-Minburn took on the Ballard Bombers on Monday, June 12. The Tigers’ came home with an 8-2 loss to the Bombers and now have a season record of 10-4.
Tigers earned their only two runs in the seventh inning.
Tiger Jack O’Brien was up to bat three times and had two hits off the Bombers’ pitcher. Nick Lindgren was up to bat two times with one hit and had one RBI for the Tigers. Sophomore Logan Crannell also had one RBI as well from his hit.
O’Brien and Lindgren were the only two to score against the Bombers with one run each.
Tiger pitcher Kade Overton had five strikeouts throughout the game, Matthew West finished the game striking out two Bombers.
Bomber Jack Luster had three hits of his own compared to the Tigers’ team total of four. Luster hit a double and had one RBI.
Senior Austin Edwards had one hit for the Bombers, one of which was a double, he also had one RBI.
Gannon Manfull, Kade Reinertson, Tanner Brock, Reece Huen and Clayton Poots each had one hit against the Tigers as well as one RBI each.
Bombers Isaac Schafbuch and Hersch Maxey finished up the team’s 11 hits win one each.
The Bombers also had a total of seven RBIs. Reinertson, Luster, Poots, Huen, Brock, Edwards and Manfull each had one.
Codey Erickson led the the Bombers with two of the team’s eight runs. Clay Estrem, Manfull, Edwards, Schafbuch, Brock and Huen each had one run to finish up the Bombers’ score.
Bombers’ pitcher Jack Luster had seven strikeouts with an ERA of 0.00.
The Tigers finished the game with just two runs, losing to the Bombers 8-2. The Tigers’ baseball team will be taking on Perry on Wednesday, June 14 at home at 7:30 p.m.
