The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers cross country teams went to an invitational hosted by Ballard on Monday, Sept. 11.


The boys’ team placed tenth overall with a team average time of 18:35.


Nate Mueller led the Tigers in 11th place with his time of 17:24. Rylan Hefferman was the second leading Tiger in 19th with a time of 17:42. Ethan Juergens finished the meet with a time of 18:05 for 32nd.


Braeden Hegarty and Owen Meier were the fourth and fifth highest placing Tigers for the boys’ team. Hegarty placed 81st with a time of 19:39 and Meier finished with a time of 20:03 for 99th place.


Sean McGee and Carter Goos were the last of the top seven Tigers. McGee ran a 20:59 and Goos finished the meet with a time of 21:48.


The Tigers girls’ team had an average time of 24:12 and placed 12th as a team.


Junior Sadie Juergens led the Tigers. She placed fifth with her final time of 20:22.


Hannah Welch was the second leading Tiger for the girls’ team. Welch placed 48th with a time of 23:03.


With a time of 25:18, Ashlie Hauf finished the meet in 96th. Just one second (25:19) behind Hauf was Lizzy Lohman, who placed 97th.


Astraea Munyan and Zoe Marckmann finished with a one second split as well. Munyan finished with a time of 26:58 for 120th and Marckmann placed 121st with her time of 26:59.


Sydney Engleman was the last of the top seven Tigers to cross the finish line. She ran the race in 28:06 and placed 127th.


The Tigers are hosting an invitational on Monday, Sept. 18 at Hillcrest Country Club. The girls’ team will run first at 5:20 p.m. and the boys will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m.
