The IGHSAU released their weekly volleyball rankings on Thursday, Sept. 21. Three of the four Dallas County teams are ranked in their respective classes.


The Van Meter Bulldogs are ranked 15th in Class 2A after not being ranked last week (Sept. 14). The Bulldogs currently have a season record of 10-3.


In their 33 sets, the Bulldogs have had 172 kills with 81 errors and 505 attack attempts for an efficiency of 0.180. Of the team’s 397 serves so far this season, the Bulldogs have had 345 successfully go over the net for a serve efficiency of 0.869. The Bulldogs have also had 49 aces this year. The Bulldogs have also had 160 assists, 287 digs and a total of 31 blocks.


The Bulldogs will be playing in an invitational in Madrid this Saturday (Sept. 30) at 8 a.m.


DC-G


Dallas Center-Grimes is ranked 11th in Class 4A. The Fillies held their place in the rankings since last week and hold a season record of 12-3 so far this season.


The Fillies have played 37 sets so far this season. In those 37 sets, they have racked up 305 kills with 184 errors, 971 attack attempts for a kill efficiency of 0.125. The Fillies also have a serve efficiency of 0.903 from making 678 of their 751 serves over the net. The Fillies average 2.38 aces per set as well with their total of 88 aces so far this season. The Fillies have 283 assists, 425 digs and 149 blocks this season.


The Fillies will be traveling to Urbandale for an invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30 that begins at 8 a.m.


Waukee


Also holding their record into this week is the Waukee Warriors, who are currently 13th on the Class 5A list. The Warriors have an 18-12 record this season.


The Warriors have had 726 kills in their 74 sets this season. Of those 726 kills, they have had 334 errors and 202 attack attempts for an efficiency of 0.193. The Warriors have had 1330 successful serves this season (1476 total) and have a serve efficiency of 0.901. The Warriors have also racked up 176 aces. The Warriors have 682 assists this season as well as 851 digs and a total of 182 blocks.


The Warriors will also be playing in the Urbandale invitational on Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m.
