The Dallas Center-Grimes Fillies fell to the Indianola Indians on Tuesday, Sept. 26. The Fillies lost to the Indians in three sets, 25-21, 25-19 and 25-9 but still have a strong 17-4 record.


The Fillies’ leader in kills was Katelyn Knudsen. Knudsen, a sophomore, ended the match with just eight kills and two errors and a whopping 31 attack attempts. She had a kill efficiency of 0.194.


Ally Ferguson was the Fillies’ leader in assists against the Indians with a total of 19. The Fillies ended the match with a total of 60 digs. Knudsen and Dakota Miles led the team with 15 digs a piece.


The Fillies only had seven blocks against the Indians; six assisted and one solo block. Ferguson had three block and total assists, Abby Greiman had two assists and total blocks. The final two blocks went to Jordan Cunningham and Knudsen. Cunningham had a block assist and Knudsen had the lone solo block.


Miles had two of the Fillies’ three aces to lead the team. She also had eight of her nine serves make it over the net for a serve efficiency of 0.889.


The third ace was scored by junior Katherine Wood, who made nine of her 12 serves for a 0.750 efficiency.


With 11-of-11, Ferguson was the only Filly to have a serve efficiency of 1.000 against the Indians.


The Fillies will play at an invitational in Urbandale on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 8 a.m.
