On Friday, Nov. 10, two Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tiger athletes signed letters of intent to continue athletic careers into college.


Dalton Hews will be continue his baseball career at Kirkwood Community College.


Last season, Hews started seven games as a pitcher for the Tigers and had three appearances. He finished the season with a 3-2 record. In the 2016-2017 season, he struck out 49 batters and ended the year with an ERA of 2.19.


At bat, Hews had 35 hits and scored 23 runs including one home run. He also had 13 RBIs and a batting average of 0.361 to finish up the season.


Ashley Tennant will be following in the footsteps of fellow Tigers’ Kenzi Sutton and Molly Jacobsen by continuing her softball career at DMACC.


In the 2016-2017 season, Tennant led the Tigers with a 0.426 batting average. Tennant played 36 games for the Tigers and finished with 52 hits, 25 runs and three home runs. She also had 29 RBIs.
