The indoor track season continued on yesterday for nearly 90 schools in the Iowa State Girls High School Classic held at the Lied Center in Ames.


Among those nearly 90 team included the likes of A-D-M girls once again under the direction of Bart Mueller along with the Fillies of Dallas Center-Grimes under the continued tutelage of Rich Kloster.


It was quite a deep field and although spring break fever was in full swing, both team put up some strong performances which included a 12th place finish by DC-G junior Emma Angus in the 1500 meter run. Fillie junior Natalie Paulson ended with a solid outing as well with a pair of top 25 finishes starting in the 3000 meter run taking 20th with a time of 11:29.82. The other top 25 finish came in the 800 meter run as her time of 2:35.37 earned her a 21st place finish.


After making it to the National Junior Championships last year A-D-M standout Sadie Juergens found her way into a top 20 finish yesterday after her time of 5:24.19 in the 1500 meter run notched her a 16th place finish.


Both teams had solid showings in the relay events with DC-G stealing the show after a par of eigth place finishes in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:29.92 and the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:47.91. The A-D-M girls ran their way into a 20th place finish in the 800 sprint medley with a time of 2:02.80.
